NHS Repeat Dispensing Scheme
This is a free of charge service, but please ask the Boots Pharmacy Team about your suitability for Repeat Dispensing.
When you visit your GP discuss Repeat Dispensing with them as the doctor makes the final decision about whether you are suitable for this service.
If your GP decides you would benefit from being on the service then they will issue your prescriptions to take to your local pharmacy.
The pharmicist will keep the original copy and one of the repeatable prescriptions to dispense from. They can also keep all of the repeatable prescriptions safely for you if you wish.
When you need more medicines simply go back to the same pharmacy.
When your prescription batches finish, usually after 6 or 12 months, go back to your GP for a review and, if appropriate, they will issue another batch for Repeat Dispensing.
