Pam has worked at Hempstead Valley for over 22 years, working in the Security Department in a number of different roles.
Many retailers and customers will know Pam as the first point of contact in the Security office, answering the phone and being the voice of the tannoy! Pam also looked after the lost property and has re-united thousands of lost items with their owners over the years. There has been an eclectic number of unusual items lost and found at the centre and we've always been amazed by the large number of walking sticks handed in.
The security team bought Pam a pampering spa day and other staff bought Pam a beautiful Lladro figurine and bouquet of flowers.
Pam said, "I'm looking forward to doing as little as possible and having plenty of holidays - money permitting and actually spending time with my husband. During the last 20 odd years he worked days and I worked evenings - this might require some adjustment!"
Mark Rumfitt, Hempstead Valley centre manager said, "Pam started working at Hempstead Valley in 1988. Much has changed since then but Pam has remained a constant friend to many people and a hardworking member of the team. Plus she always made sure everyone was looked after well at Hempstead Valley with her wonderful home made cakes - which will be missed!"
