Hempstead Valley Shopping Centre held its annual Carol Concert on Sunday 14 December 2008. Visitors to the centre were able to join in with the concert after the stores had closed. The service was lead by Allan Smith with music provided by KM Medway Band. The crowd gathered to sing traditional Christmas carols including Once in Royal David’s City and O Little Town of Bethlehem. Children from Deanwood Primary Education Technology School sang Christmas songs.
