Travel Green Event

Travel Green Event

Join us on Friday 19th August for the “Travel Green” event on the pedestrian area outside of the new restaurant development.

The event is designed to encourage Hempstead Valley staff, and members of the public, to think green when travelling to the centre. This includes cycling, walking, running, car sharing and using the frequent bus service rather than using the car as a primary means of transport. The aim of the “Travel Green” event is to make staff more aware of alternative ways to travel that will positively impact their health, finances and the environment.

On the day expect to see:

MK Cycling - exhibiting their useful bike maintenance services, providing free maintenance advice, health checks and minor adjustments for anyone with a bike.

Arriva Bus Company - providing information about frequent bus services that currently run to Hempstead Valley

Kent Police - answering any questions relating to bike security, crime prevention or any general concerns that staff may have

Medway Council - giving advice about health, cycle routes and any running or cycling clubs in the local Hempstead area

The KMFM street team - providing on air shout outs about the event, as well as playing some classic chart tunes throughout the day

PLUS you can enter an exclusive competition to WIN an annual Arriva bus ticket worth £900 or a full bike service from MK Cycling worth £49!
