Mark Rumfitt, Centre Manager said, "The Hempstead Valley Farmers' Market started in September 2006 and has been very popular with both our local producers and our customers. We've had excellent feedback from our customers who particularly like the variety of high quality local produce on sale."
He added: "A key aspect of the market, are the controls in place that ensure that the majority of the produce is from Kent, thus supporting local farmers. The Hempstead Valley Farmers' Market is a member of Produced in Kent and we work with them to help raise the profile of everything produced in the Garden of England."
The Hempstead Valley Farmers' Market takes place on the 2nd Sunday of the month in the Green Car Park, Hempstead Valley Shopping Centre, Gillingham and a variety of local produce is available.
