Mark Rumfitt, Centre Manager said, "The Hempstead Valley Farmers' Market has been running for 5 years, having started in September 2006. Since then its popularity has grown and it is very popular with both our local producers and our customers. We've had excellent feedback from our customers who particularly like the variety of high quality local produce on sale."

He added: "A key aspect of the market, are the controls in place that ensure that the majority of the produce is from Kent, thus supporting local farmers. The Hempstead Valley Farmers' Market is a member of Produced in Kent and we work with them to help raise the profile of everything produced in the Garden of England."

To celebrate the Farmers' Market 5th birthday, Hempstead Valley held the Festival of Transport event in September. One of the main attractions to the finale of the event was the classic car show over 175 vehicles were on display outside in Green car park, alongside the monthly Farmers' market.
